Problem

Imagine a digital display showing the date as an 88-digit number. The first 44 digits are the year, the next 22 are the month, and the last 22 are the day.

For example, April 2828, 20232023 shows up as 2023042820230428.

Now look at all the dates in the year 20232023. For some of these dates, every digit from 00 to 99 appears an even number of times in the 88-digit display. (Digits that don't show up at all count as appearing 00 times, which is even.)

How many dates in 20232023 have this property?

Pick an answer.

(A)
