Problem

Picture a whiteboard with every whole number from 11 to 20242024 written on it.

Jerry plays a game. In one move, he picks any 4 numbers on the board, erases them, and writes one new number in their place. The new number is either the sum of those 4 numbers, or their product. He chooses which one each time.

(For example, his first move could be to erase 11, 22, 33, 55 and write 1111 — the sum — or write 3030 — the product.)

Jerry keeps making moves. At some point he stops, and notices that every number left on the board is odd.

What is the largest number of numbers that could be left on the board at that moment?
